soaked to the bone.
a collection of raw sentiments
an intimate investigation of past
i asked five different women to put on items of clothing that have carried an emotional significance in their lives: shirts they wore when they received important news, pants they chose for their first day of work, or other memorable items that were apart of a moment that affected the course of their lives. i then invited them into my shower, drenched those clothes in water as an act of rebirthing those emotions and past lives. I documented the process through polaroids and photos as well as interviewing each individual on why those pieces were significant and why the life events that surrounded those pieces have helped them evolve as people. the process of unveiling the past became deeply nostalgic, cathartic practice for the individuals who participated, including myself.
